Program evaluation/competency is the concept that describes the organization, management, supervision, and delivery of services designed to meet the needs of clients in the most comprehensive, responsible and competent manner. To achieve program competency a strategy must be developed to incorporate each of the following components: a mission statement, admission criteria, staff experience and educational requirements, staff training, licensed/certified staff, days/hours of operation, wrap around services provided, inappropriate referrals, completion and monitoring of treatment plans, progress notes requirements, procedures for maintaining confidentiality of records, success rate, follow up, responses to non successful clients, aftercare, collaboration with other programs, research and evaluation.
