Educational institutions, employers, social and mental health service providers in the United States request and/or conduct assessments of individuals, parents, families and other groups to obtain information or treatment and intervention direction, and to determine what services are needed or who should receive them. The number of tests available to complete these assessments is substantial. Tests in Print, contains more than 3,000 entries, including achievement tests, educational tests, intelligence tests, scholastic aptitude measures, personality tests, as well as assessments of vocational interests and skills.

We operate under the following general principles:

1. The assessment process does not focus in a test score or number.
2. Each individual has a range of competencies that can be assessed by quantitative and qualitative means.
3. Our mission is to assess those competencies as well as any limitations.
4. Tests are merely samples of behavior.
5. Tests do not directly reveal traits or capacities; but do allow for inferences to be made about the individual.
6. Test scores and test performances may be negatively affected by temporary states of anxiety, fatigue, disturbances of temperament, personality, and other factors.
7. Test results must be interpreted within the context of the individual’s culture, primary language, or any substantial differing abilities.
